Pomegranate- Week 21

This week you are the size of a pomegranate- you are about 10.5 inches and about 12.2 ounces (based on average baby estimates). You have moved from flutters to full on ninja moves- I can feel your movements throughout the day. Your digestive system preps for the outside world and you are producing more meconium. Your eyebrows and eye lids are now distinguishable.

Heather (my coworker/boss) and me- modeling our new jackets! Big enough to keep the bump warm

This week sling sports started, all indoor practices thanks to mother nature, but I was able to go home for the weekend- a "hot minute" trip back to Iowa for various appointments with "my people." There is something very comforting about seeing your "people" especially so when pregnant. I was able to get acupuncture (twice), adjusted, sugared, toes done, a massage and visit with friends. Being military you always make new friends wherever you go, its part of the lifestyle, but it is always best to go home and be loved (in person) by people you have known forever. The great part of going home is doing exchange of services- making the plane tickets the only cost. I have figured it out several times (partly to justify a trip that I know is somewhat illogical) and it is 90% of the time the same price or cheaper for plane tickets than to receive the services here in NoVA. The best part of being home was on Sunday after getting adjusted, I was waiting to get pinned, laying on my back on the massage table with my hands on my belly, pretty typical. I felt the little guy moving around and then bam! a swift kick that I felt with my hand. It was so exciting! He is getting big enough to feel on a regular basis and hopefully soon Stephen will be able to feel him too! How Far Along: 21 weeks
