Birth Story of Stephen Michael Hudak III Stephen Michael Hudak III was born at 10:39pm on Thursday, July 17th, 2014. He weighed 10 pounds, 10 ounces and was 22.75 inches long. Here is his birth story :) After coming home from my 40.5 week appointment with the midwives (I was 3cm dilated, 75% effaced and got a good stretch and sweep) I tried to eat some lunch- all I managed was some red raspberry leaf tea and an avocado. This week you are the size of a jackfruit! (Again an unknown fruit- it must be big though!) The average baby is 6.2-9.2 pounds and 18.9-20.2 inches; we won't know what size you are until you are born! You are continuing lung development, growing hair and nails and shedding your vernix caseosa. We can't wait to meet you!

Could things change in the last days/week before he arrives? Of course! I am not naive in thinking that everything will be sunshine and roses. Labor is called labor for a reason- your body works hard! B
This week you are the size of a pumpkin! You are about 18.9-20.9 inches and weigh 6.2-9.2 pounds. You are shedding your vernix caseosa (slowly) and you could have at least an inch of hair already! Your organs are mature and ready for life outside the womb- although you keep maturing the longer you stay in.
This week started with my Blessingway on Sunday- what a great experience! This was my first experience with a blessingway and it was great :) What actually happens is a l
