
Winter Melon- Week 37
Winter Melon- Week 37 You are the size of a winter melon! (Another new one for me). You are 18.9-20.9 inches and weigh 6.2-9.2 pounds. Right now you are gaining about 1/2 ounce each day! Grow baby grow! You are practicing skills such as inhaling, exhaling, sucking gripping and blinking. You are also getting more hiccups. You are also getting your first poo ready (for Daddy?) by creating meconium.

Honeydew- Week 36
This week you are the size of a honeydew! You are still about 17.2-18.7 inches long and weigh 4.2-5.8 pounds. You are beefing up, swallowing amniotic fluid creating meconium, shedding your downy hair covering and vernix caseosa. At the end of this week you would be considered "early term" if you were born- "full term" is 39-40 weeks.

Coconut- Week 35
This week you are the size of a coconut! You're about 17.2-18.7 inches and around 4.2-5.8 pounds. You are fully developed- hearing, circulatory and musculoskeletal systems are all complete and your lungs are mature. This doesn't mean you don't still need more time to become fully developed and matured though (no early arrivals!) The next few weeks are for you to put on weight and continue growing.

Butternut Squash- Week 34
This week you are the size of a butternut squash! You weigh about 4.2-5.8 pounds and are 17.2-18.7 inches long. You recognize and react to simple songs and my voice. Your fat is starting to round you out and your skin is becoming smoother. About 6 weeks to go!
