Lime- Week 11
Right now you are starting to look a lot more like a baby! You are about 1.6 inches long and weigh about 0.25 oz. You also have a 1:1 head:body ratio and you have (translucent) skin, tooth buds, hair follicles (hopefully a lot like mom and dad), and tooth buds! Your hands and feet are no longer moved and you are moving fluidly and gracefully in my belly. This week we headed to Iowa to spend the holidays with our families. We are fortunate that our families live just 2.5 hou

Prune- Week 10
This week you are the size of a prune! You are about 1.2 inches long and weight just 0.14 oz. Your bones and cartilage are starting to form and your vital organs are beginning to function. It is crazy but your body length will almost double in the next 3 weeks! Your arm joints are now working and you are moving them around (think baby YMCA). This week was awesome!! We got to hear your heartbeat with the Doppler on Thursday! Best Christmas present!! Stephen had eye surgery so

Green Olive- Week 9
This week you are the size of a green olive! You are about an inch long and just under an ounce. You have officially passed from an embryo to a fetus! We might be able to hear your heartbeat with doppler this week. This week we had our first appointment with the midwives. Stephen had a snow day from work so we were both able to go to the appointment. We saw Jennifer and Hannah, who were both really nice. A lot of the appointment was going over boring (but important) paper

Raspberry- Week 8
This week you are the size of a raspberry and finally weigh in (at .04 oz its not much)! You are moving around like crazy and your tail is now gone. You are starting to develop taste buds as well. You are starting to change from an embryo to a fetus. This week was a bit of a roller coaster. Nausea kicked me in the butt a little and all I ate one day was crackers. This was also the day my co-worker asked if I was pregnant. Guess those oyster crackers gave it away! Emotions

I was looking at the map in my planner as we were getting ready to move to Virginia from Arizona. I started to wonder how many states I had been to...and that lead to my wondering if I could see all 50 states by the end of 2013. Moving to the east coast I knew I would be able to get close- I mostly hadn't visited the eastern seaboard. Now what constitutes a visit to a state? An airport visit? No, that is cheating- all you see is the airport. I decided that in order to coun

Blueberry- Week 7
This week you are the size of a blueberry! Right now you have doubled in size since last week and are generating one hundred new brain cells a minute! Your heart is becoming more complex and your permeant kidneys are forming along with your arms and legs. This week was Thanksgiving week and we went to visit Stephen's brother Jeff and his wife Allison and their two kids, Pieper (4) and Peter (2). Allison guessed it right away when I refused a drink but they are so excited! We
